1500 Dog Lovers!

I had such a wonderful day yesterday. Green Pets, one of the very first stores to carry our biscuits, kindly invited Organic Doggy Kitchen to participate in their booth at Washington Humane Society's Walk for the Animals at the National Mall. The weather was gorgerous, the sky was blue, and many many many happy dogs and people! Over 1500 people participated in this year's walk along with their beloved canine family members. This is the biggest doggy cake we've ever made. It originally said "WALK" for the animals but it got sliced by the time I got the camera out. The cake was very heavy but was popular and almost all gone within an hour!

The event had such positive energy everywhere, can you imagine being around 1500 people who care so much about homeless animals? It was just such a happy day, people were happy, dogs were happy, and so was I! I met several people & doggies who are fans of our Organic Doggy Kitchen biscuits!! Thank you so much for stopping by to say hi, and thank you also for supporting local homeless animals.

I highly recommend everyone to join the event next year, even if you don't have dogs, just join and enjoy the outdoor festivity, it's just so much fun! You can see what kind of fun we had in the Washington Humane Society's online photo album and other cakes that we made for this event. And if you ever need help with nutritional needs of your dogs and cats, call Green Pets, they are really the experts and very friendly! They deliver locally and ship nationwide so you can fetch our organic dog biscuits!

The event raised over $100K!!! Cheers to everyone who joined the Walk to help the homeless animals and many thanks to all the hard-working staff members of HSUS/WHS and volunteers who made this happen!

How Organic Doggy Kitchen Started

There is an article about how Organic Doggy Kitchen started in this month (October) issue of Northern Virginia Magazine so please pick up a copy and check it out! The article refers to our Miss Kiki as my "Career Advisor" and now she also taste tests everything for us. If we drop a small piece of cookie dough by accident, both Kiki and Koby are there to clean the floor, too!

By the way, please come to Washington Humane Society's Walk for the Animals tomorrow and drop by at Green Pets booth. Organic Doggy Kitchen will be there offering FREE doggy cake to everyone who participates to support homeless animals. We are making a big, big, big doggy cake today. It's the biggest one we've ever made!! And also tiny little cupcakes for dogs, so please come over and say hi and treat your doggy to a piece of cake. Looking forward to meeting you and your doggies :)
