This cake was our weekend project here at Organic Doggy Kitchen. Mr. Robbie, a cutest Cavalier, celebrated his 2nd birthday with his doggy friends. We made a mostly-organic pumpkin-flavored cake and goody bags of organic Peanut Butter & Banana biscuits for his barkday party. A little bit of color was added to the icing to match the party theme color of blue, purple and lime green. It was a lot of fun :) Nature's Nibbles in Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria is having a grand-reopening celebration on September 1. We'll be making a big cake (flavor TBD) for everyone to enjoy and bring it over to the store, so if your dogs like to try a piece of our cake, this is your chance! Everyone who has a dog who likes treats should try the organic treat from this Kitchen - they are great ... and the cakes are really special.
My Siberian Kai goes CRAZY over the cake! I brought one home and he jumped up and down before I even was in the door. After I gave him and his sister Katie a piece, he kept following me and barking. I thought he needed dinner, water, to outside. Nope - he wanted more cake! Katie, more ladylike, just waits until I give in to Kai and they each get a peice ... Katie especially likes the icing.
The last thing at night and first thing in the morning, they must have cake. Guess it's time to get more :-)))
